Students for Students International announces its fifth annual Auction for Education
Chapel Hill, NC, February 10, 2009-Students for Students International at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill will hold its fifth annual Auction for Education on Saturday, February 28, 2009.
The Auction will be held at the State Dining Room and Terraces in the Morehead Planetarium. The evening will feature a performance by the UNC Loreleis, the premiere on-campus women’s a cappella group and a presentation by two members of the S4Si executive board who traveled to Zanzibar last summer to select the current Scholars. There will also be an address by keynote speaker Dr. Chris Kigongo.
The doors will open at 7:00 p.m. and dinner will begin at 7:30 p.m. The event will be catered by International Palace, a Durham restaurant featuring fine East African cuisine.
The Auction will take place throughout the evening, beginning at 7:30 p.m. and continuing until the event winds down at 10:30 p.m. The Auction includes items from around the world and around the Triangle. All proceeds will benefit the S4Si Scholars.
Dress is cocktail attire.

The mission of S4Si is to create educational opportunities for high-achieving students in the developing world, with the belief that education is essential to community leadership and a country’s development. We are a university-based, nonprofit organization that provides these opportunities through collaboration with the local communities of our Scholars.
