Amne describes herself as cooperative, respectful, and confident. She attends Zanzibar Commercial School. Amne’s favorite subject is Commerce, and she hopes to one day be the Ministress of Commercial Affairs. She believes that education is a fundamental right to all children, and that it is the “source of our dreams.”

Rahima Mussa Hassan
Rahima describes herself as cheerful and alert. She attends Lumumba Secondary School. Rahima comes from a large family, and has four younger siblings and three older siblings. In her freetime, Rahima enjoys listening to music, studying, and narrating stories. Rahima aspires to be an engineer. She hope to one day travel to America and explore the culture.
Iham Hamdan Hafidh
Ilham is a student at Zanzibar Commercial School. She enjoys mathematics and commerce. In her free time, she enjoys reading and studying. Ilham is passionate about improving the economic development of her country. In the future, Ilham aspires to be an economist. Above all, Ilham says she wants to protect her country against financial crisis.
Farhat Zahor Aly
Farhat comes from a large family with five sisters and three brothers. She attends Ben Bella Secondary School where she enjoys studying science. Farhat would like to become a doctor in order to assist her fellow citizens, and encourage the development of social services in the hospital. Even in her freetime, Farhat often studies her lessons because she is determined to be successful.
Mulhat Ahmed Said
Mulhat attends Lumumba Secondary School where she currently ranks number 1 in her class. If she could advocate for one cause to the president of Tanzania, Mulhat says that it would defintely be for education. She would like to see more laboratories equipped with better chemicals and apparatuses. In school, Mulhat especially enjoys English and Mathematics. In the future she would like become a doctor.
Mwanaidi Ismail
Mwanaidi describes herself as a quiet, hardworking, and committed person. She is the middle child, and has four siblings. In her free time, she enjoys reading books, the newpaper, and watching TV inorder to imporve her English. She also likes to exercise in order to stay healthy. Mwanaidi says that she enjoys all of her subjects in school, and would one day like to become a doctor. Mwanadi attends Ben Bella Secondary School. She hopes that one day she can travel to learn more about development, culture, and geography.
Bahati Haji
Bahati is the youngest child of 6 children. Bahati enjoys spending time with her family and peers, and enjoys playing net-ball in her free time. If there is one thing that Bahati is passionate about, it is education. She believes that education is the key to enjoying life, and she advises everyone she knows to continue in their studies. Bahati attends Ben Bella Secondary School, and enjoys studying Biology she aspires to become a doctor in the future.
Tawhida Talib
Tawhida’s favorite subjects are Math, Biology, and Chemistry. She attends Ben Bella Secondary School. Academically she has excelled tremendously, and currently ranks 2nd in her class. If there is one cause that Tawhida could advocate for to the President of Tanzania, Tawhida insists that she would urge the strengtheing of the economic ministires that could lead to povery reduction. Tawhida says that she does not just desire education for herself, but sees it as a way that will help her give back to her country.
Sabra Suleiman
Sabra attends Ben Bella Secondary School, where she currently ranks 5th overall in her class. Sabra especially excels in English and Physics. She has two younger brothers, and says that the S4Si scholarship will greatly reduce the financial burden placed on her parents. In the future, Sabra wants to be a doctor, and believes that it is important for more women to go into this profession.
