Kimberly Chapman Page currently serves as Assistant Director in the Duke Global Health Institute at Duke University. Kim has a BSc in Public Health, a Master of Public Health, and a graduate Certificate in Global Health, all from UNC-Chapel Hill. She is also a Certified Health Education Specialist. Previously, she worked as the International Core Manager at the UNC Center for AIDS Research and as Assistant Director for UNC’s Institute for Global Health & Infectious Diseases.
She has extensive experience working with youth development programs and HIV/AIDS initiatives in a number of communities throughout Sub-Saharan Africa and South East Asia. She is the founding chair and current member of the Board of Directors of Carolina for Kibera, Inc. (http://cfk.unc.edu), an international NGO that operates in Kibera, Kenya, and was recognized in 2005 by TIME magazine and the Gates Foundation as a “Hero of Global Health”. In addition to serving as former Executive Director of S4Si, Kim is also a founding volunteer and previous board member of World Camp (www.worldcampforkids.org).
Kim lives in Durham, NC with her husband (Jason) and their daughter (Elodie), where they own and operate the Bull City Running Company – an independent, running specialty store.
